Recipes: Jarlsberg-Bacon Spread (Updated)


Since Grand Cru Swiss was on special this weekend, Nicole prepared my Jarlsberg-Bacon Cheese Spread with it.  She also used Hormel Real Bacon Bits.

Jarlsberg-Bacon Cheese Spread (Updated)
7 c. (1 lb.) Jarlsberg Swiss OR
     Grand Cru Swiss, shredded
12 slices TFM Classic Uncured 
     Bacon, cooked and crumbled
     OR Hormel Real Bacon Bits,
     to taste
¾ c. finely chopped red onion
1¾ c. mayonnaise
2 tsp. Victoria Taylor 
      Smoky Paprika Chipotle Seasoning 

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl.  Mix until thoroughly incorporated.  Refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve, place in serving bowl.  Serve with Pretzel Crisps, TFM French Rounds, or your favorite TFM crackers.

As with the original recipe for Jarlsberg-Bacon cheese spread customers LOVED this.

SNAP OUT OF IT!



All that runs through my head now-a-days is one of Cher's lines from the movie Moonstruck - 
SNAP OUT OF IT!  



I've gone through withdrawals not preparing food, and still am not "allowed" to prepare food, BUT I sure as heck can get back in the loop and get in gear.  Part of this motivation comes from my customers who have told me they miss the sampling and others that come in and tell me about the recipes I've sampled out that they've prepared.  

Thursday, I will begin posting my wines again and I will have cheese and crackers at the very least. 

Stonewall Kitchens, Robert Rothschild, Earth & Vine, Wild Hibiscus Flowers, and Pretzel Crisps are still supporting me.  I am going to the Fancy Food Show this year and will look for more fun and delicious products and companies to add to my support list. I am still making lists of recipes. (I have a long list for Hatch Chili season.) I just have to wait it out at the store until they give me the okay to prepare food again.  Thanks for bearing with me.

Wine and Food Sampling




As of now, this will be the last post until things get back on track.  I am not told my wines until last minute.  I have no clue what is going on with my food sampling, nor the cheese sampling table.  Don't even know what the Stock Up Saturday sale wines are.  For now let's just go with:


Wine Tasting
Friday's 3:00 to 6:00 PM
Saturday's 1:00 to 4:00 PM
