Summer Fancy Food Show NYC

Here I sit with a bottle of wine and Parmesan Crisps from Kitchen Table Bakers.  It's been a great three days at the Fancy Food Show.  I've been sampling from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  in search of products to sample at TFM and for my business Bite Size Presentations to sample out.  I've sampled so many wonderful products and was able to get product support from several companies for my wine tastings at TFM Midlothian.

To get through each day I did stop in Mexico to sample Tequila and mixed drinks with Tequila.
La Noche Tequila is a Tequila with Pomegranate.  Smooth and delicious!
There's a light at the base of the bottle.  You can see it glowing if you look closely.
The topper for the bottle is a shot glass.

I also went to Brasil for Chachaca.  Not to mention had beer and wine that was sampled throughout the show.

Moonshine!
This was so smooth it was amazing.

Coconut (left) and pineapple (right) were infused in the moonshine for 3 months.  You would never know this was moonshine or even alcohol.  You could be trouble in drinking this.

Jug in the back is infused with wood from a tree in Puerto Rico with medicinal purposes.  Heck.  It was medicinal; had to sample that.  The front jug was infused with hot peppers.  The vendor in this booth told me the heat was tolerable so what the heck I went for it.  OMG!  My tongue and mouth were on fire and it brought tears to my eyes.

Lots of cheese,
Sartori!  Dave and I sampled so many varities that are not in TFM.
and my favorite, Prosciutto de Parma.

Chocolate.  Lots of chocolate.

I had my picture taken with Bob, of Bob's Red Mill again this year.
Every  year Bob has a new cookbook and I received an autographed copy.  I made Dave get his picture taken with Bob so I could get a cookbook for Mom.

So, enough about my fun and adventures.  What did I find for you, my wonderful and cherished customers.

I touched base with the brands that you love and currently support my wine tastings - Stonewall Kitchen, Wild Hibiscus Flowers,  Sable & Rosenfeld, Salem Baking (Moravian Cookies), Dillapeno, Pretzel Crisps, and Parmesan Crisps.

Of all the products I sampled, I spoke with those brands that I thought were the most exciting and I was enthusiastic to promote.  So, new product support (I hope they all come through) for my wine tastings are:
  • Effies - delicious oatcakes.
  • Pickled Pink Foods - pickles, pickled watermelon, and pickled jalapeno.
  • Clearbrook Farms Tartlet Shells
  • Chocolate Love  - These are the chocolate bars with XOXO on the label and note inside the wrapper. They have a new     product coming into the store in August.
  •  Marich chocolates
  •  Crabbies - swag for my July 3rd tasting
  •  Beemster
  • Le Gruyere
  • Roth cheese
  •  Walkers Shortbreads
  • Sartori
  •  Vermont Smoke and Cure (jerky sticks)
  •  Sir Kensington's - delicious spreads
  • Terrapin Ridge Farms - I sampled a few delicious products. Hot Pepper Bacon Jam!  I have to see what TFM has on the shelf.
  •  Crunchmaster - crackers for my Gluten Free customers
  •  Callies Biscuits (freezer section) - so fluffy and tasty.
  •  Falksalt - finishing salt and they are hopefully going to bring  ibeans in tetra packs.
  • Tracklements - I have to see what flavors we have on the shelf
  •  Romanoff Caviar - for the holidays

Keep you fingers crossed for a delicous year!

See you July 3rd and 4th.  I'll post my wine tasting for this weekend Thursday morning before I leave for the train home.
